Waifu Labs is a state-of-the-art AI that draws custom anime portraits. It is powered by a type of AI called a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) . The GAN consists of two AIs that spar against each other in order to learn: the Generator, which learns how to draw, and the Discriminator, which learns how to tell the difference between real and fake images. The Generator’s task is to learn how to draw by creating images that the Discriminator cannot distinguish from real images. The GAN learns how to draw through practice and repetition, just like a human artist.
Waifu Labs has been hard at work since its launch, and recently finished drawing its 20-millionth commission. The Waifu Labs team has also been working on Arrowmancer, a mobile game illustrated using AI. Arrowmancer uses the magic of Waifu Labs and GPT-3 to create an infinite cast of beautiful, engaging characters. Waifu Labs has allowed the team to take on a gigantic feat of content production.
